PT. Mitra Kerinci is a subsidiary of PT. Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia which runs a business in agriculture, plantation and tea industry which consists of land tenure, plant maintenance, processing, marketing and distribution of products. PT. Mitra Kerinci uses a panning system in green tea processing which consists of several stages including receiving fresh shoots, withering, cooling, rolling, drying and sorting. In green tea processing activities, the quality of the final product is not always up to standard. Thus, it is necessary to evaluate the final product as a reference for improvement in the green tea processing process. Final product evaluation conducted at PT. Mitra Kerinci consists of water content testing, dryness analysis and organoleptic testing. The standard of water content set by PT. Mitra Kerinci is a maximum of 6% and a minimum of 4%. If the water content value obtained is not in accordance with the standard, it must be repaired immediately. Dry analysis standards set at PT. Mitra Kerinci for good quality green tea consists of 40% pekoe and 4% powder. The results of the good green tea organoleptic test are that the tea is completely dry and has a fragrant aroma (a typical aroma of tea leaves) and is not contaminated with dirt, the shape is well rolled, has a strong sepet taste and the steeping of the water is bright yellow. Based on the observations that have been made, it can be concluded that the overall quality of green tea PT. Mitra Kerinci is in accordance with SNI 3945:2016.
