PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PRODUK KOMERSIAL BERBASIS BAYAM DI DESA LAMGAPANG KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Lamgapang Village, Krueng Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province has increasingly narrow agricultural land as a result of increased settlements. However, it turns out that there are still people who run a palawija plantation business, one of which is spinach. This activity aims to provide knowledge and skills to women farmer groups in Lamgapang Kopiwari and Syaget Villages in further processing spinach into a variety of commercial products. The steps taken are spinach education, nutrition, utilization; education on potential processing into commercial products; product manufacturing training, introduction of production facilities and evaluation of activity results. Education has been carried out well and continued with product manufacturing training. There were 8 spinach-based products that were successfully made by partners in the training including chips, cookies, noodles, sticks, nuggets, pizza, cupcakes and spinach ice cream. The results of the evaluation of activities show an improvement in terms of partners' knowledge and skills regarding spinach, nutrition and processed products. Partners already have better knowledge supported by existing skills in making a variety of processed spinach-based food products. The facilities owned by partners are also more complete with assistance through this activity. It is hoped that with adequate knowledge, skills and production facilities, partners will be able to take advantage of the best possible opportunities to produce processed spinach commercially and be able to improve the family economy.
