SOSIALISASI KEAMANAN PANGAN DAN KEMASAN PADA MAKANAN/MINUMAN DI SMP NEGERI 14 BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Food is a primary need in human life. Therefore, food safety is the main requirement that must be owned by food products. The development of science and technology allows the production of various types of food that are quality, durable, practical, durable, and attractive. One of them is the use of food additives (BTP) and packaging. Problems that arise are food fraud from food producers by using types of BTP that do not follow regulations and packaging that is not in accordance with food products. Snacks are food products that are most prone to contamination by BTP and the use of inappropriate packaging. This service aims to provide counseling and socialization to students of SMP Negeri 14 Banda Aceh regarding food safety and the dangers that accompany it. The service activities have been running smoothly, carried out by 6 Lecturers of Agricultural Products Technology which were attended by teachers and students of SMP Negeri 14. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted, it showed that the students had understood about food additives and the packaging materials regulations, and its implication if its use is not in accordance with regulations.
