The food-based Home Industry (IRT) is one of the driving forces of the Indonesian economy, especially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The home industry is proven to be able to survive and thrive if it is managed properly and uniquely based on its product caharacteristics. Unfortunately because of this convenience, this effort is easy to replicate. Therefore, proper management needs to be done so that the sustainability of this IRT is better than its competitors. This service aims to disseminate the importance of understanding the application of sanitation & hygiene, production layout according to Good Manufacturing Practices in 5 (five) Food IRTs in Banda Aceh city. This service is carried out in several stages, starting from the selection of partner MSEs, filling out a partner identity survey, and self-evaluation of partner production conditions based on the GMP checklist, GMP socialization and improvement consultations. The results of the initial survey obtained that 2 out of 5 IRT service participants had met the GMP requirements and obtained P-IRT permits. Furthermore, the results of the partner's self-evaluation show a fairly good understanding of the application of sanitation & hygiene. Barriers to obtaining a P-IRT permit are due to limited funds to meet the needs of a production layout according to GMP for home industries. Furthermore, from the results of the satisfaction questionnaire, all of these partners expressed their satisfaction with the explanations and solutions provided by the team.
