Lampreh Village LT is one of the villages in the Lamteungoh Settlement, Ingin Jaya sub-district, Aceh Besar District. Ruminant livestock farming is one of the community business unit that is often constrained by feeding in certain seasons, especially the dry season. In the dry season the availability of forage decreases, so that people provide rice straw for livestock without processing it first. Therefore, community service has been carried out, namely ammoniation and fermentation of rice straw as cattle feed. The activity went smoothly, the community was very enthusiastic and full of enthusiasm in carrying out the activity. The product produced is animal feed of rice straw that has been ammoniated and fermented (Amofer). Rice straw was fermented for 21 days. The results of the laboratory analysis of nutrition science, technology and forage at the USK Faculty of Agriculture showed that the rice straw that had been ammoniated and fermented from the service had an increase in crude protein from 5.56% to 8.11%. In addition, the fermented rice straw from this service can reduce the crude fiber content from 29.5% to 22.71%. The ammoniated and fermented rice straw (amofer) after being dried for two hours was then given to cattle. The results of observations, cattle consume the rice straw well.
