The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of eugenol oil concentration on nanoemulgel hand sanitizer. The concentration of essential oil was varied at 2.5% and 5%. In this research, pH, spreadability, antibacterial and hedonic tests were tested. The method of antibacterial activity was test using method of disk diffusion. The result shows that the antibacterial activity test method with the disc method at a concentration of 2.5% showed an average inhibition zone formed of 6.42 mm and a concentration of 5% showed an inhibition zone with an area of 7.16 mm. Based on the results of the study, increasing the concentration of eugenol can affect the physical characteristics of the preparation. The formula that has the best physical properties and antibacterial activity of Staphylococcus aureus is formula II with a concentration of 5% eugenol.
