Aceh Singkil possesses substantial potential for developing nipa palm (Nypa fruticans) agroindustry that remains underutilized. This community service activity aimed to explore the possibility of a sustainable nipa palm agroindustry through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach involving local stakeholders. The implementation methodology comprised preliminary surveys, stakeholder coordination, and FGD execution attended by 17 participants consisting of farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, local government officials, village heads, academics, and NGO representatives on August 7, 2025, at Senina Cafe, Pulosarok, Aceh Singkil. The identification results revealed three primary potential products: dried nipa palm leaf shoots, which have an established stable market; nipa fruit flour, Indonesia’s first innovative product with high added value; and nipa sugar and bioethanol, which are constrained by limitations in tapping technology. Significant constraints include limited processing technology, insufficient capital, limited market access, and weak institutional capacity among farmers. The agreed-upon development strategies encompass stakeholder synergy, the implementation of appropriate technology, human resource strengthening through comprehensive training, and value chain integration from upstream to downstream. A development roadmap was established in three phases (2025-2030) with the vision of positioning Aceh Singkil as a national nipa palm agroindustry center capable of creating 500-1,000 employment opportunities and increasing farmer income by 40-60%. This program is expected to deliver transformative impacts on the local economy, community social welfare, and environmental conservation through an integrated sustainable development concept.
