One of the ways to control weeds in cultivated crops is by utilizing them for productive purposes, namely by processing weeds into livestock feed or compost. However, this task requires considerable time and labor. One solution offered to the partner community is the use of a mechanical weed-chopping machine with a capacity of 50 kg of livestock feed material per hour. In addition to producing livestock feed, the processed material can also be used for compost production, which also has high economic value. With this machine, farmers can meet their daily livestock feed needs, and the remaining material can be processed into compost fertilizer. The results of the community service program show that the team successfully developed the weed-chopping machine. Furthermore, the machine can also be used to cut smaller plant residues as part of compost material production. The machine operates effectively, and the farmers have been trained and are now able to use it correctly.
